I've just de-installed an old notebook/binder from 1944 which was on display. It seems to have gone immediately on display and there is no prior storage.
Attached is a photo. Should I store as is? The binder rings are currently opened but they seem old and rusty and I don't feel comfortable closing them as is. I would also have to construct a box.
Should the pages be removed from the diner and put into mylar sleeves or a folder and the binder itself stored separately?
What recommendations do folks have on storing this item?
Thank you,
Luke
