    About the speakers: 

    Heather Hope Kuruvilla, M.A., J.D.

    Heather is the program coordinator for the arts administration master's program at Kutztown University. She also serves as adjunct assistant professor in arts administration at the University of Kentucky. Her teaching centers on legal and ethical issues in the arts as well as civic engagement. Heather has worked in museum registration, education, and administration, including in legal departments, for museums and arts organizations in Chicago, IL, Philadelphia, PA, and the greater New York metro region. In 2021, Heather co-founded Agate Creatives, where she focuses her work on anti-racism, justice, and equity in the museum profession as Board Liaison and Organization Re-Imaginer. She is coming to the end of her second term on the AASLH Standards & Ethics Committee. Her book, A Legal Dictionary for Museum Professionals, is in its second edition from Rowman & Littlefield.

    Ginny Cascio Bonifacino, Esq.

    Ginny co-founded Nazareth Bonifacino Law Benefit LLC, Maryland's first Certified B CorporationTM law firm. She has over a decade of experience as a business attorney and outside counsel on both coasts with a focus in transactional, intellectual property, and employment law. While Ginny's clients are from all industries, she often counsels businesses in creative, museum, and educational spaces. In the past, Ginny served in the legal departments of the Chicago History Museum and the National Endowment of the Arts in Washington D.C. She provides pro bono work to support artists and women entrepreneurs, including with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, the Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts, and the Maryland Women's Business Center.
