    Hi all,

I've been working with the Lowe Art Museum for over a year and a half. As I'm entering new acquisitions into TMS, I realize that our department does not have a collections documentation guideline to ensure consistency of data entered across object records. I was going to create my own guideline based on how I've been entering data, but I think seeing other examples would be very helpful. While I know that all museums are different, and what information they require for collections documentation varies, it will be insightful to see how other institutions record data on their database.

This guideline will be especially useful for interns and future registrars of the Lowe, so I'm eager to get this guideline up and running.

Thank you all for your assistance!

I've had this post up so long in a tab that I'm not even sure if you're still looking for this info! Let me know if you are, and I'll email you the accessioning/cataloguing guide I wrote for the Fenimore and Farmers' Museums.
