I would suggest looking at National History Day. Each state has, at least, a state competition and most have regional or locals as well. There never seems to be enough judges and the state competitions are usually in April so they are probably recruiting judges now. I just searched for Illinois' and this is the link: Illinois History Day (nhd.org). Under create an account at the top, there is a link for judges.

Subject: Anyone is looking for a judge for arts/history competitions?
Hi all!
My name is Yuna, I am a museum educator from Art Institute of Chicago and I'm also involved with the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. I'm looking for opportunities to be on a jury panel and expand my portfolio a little bit.
Hosting an arts competition or a history contest? Let me know, as I would like to get involved! My expertise is the intersection of history and art, contemporary art and teaching pedagogies.
Thanks!
