    Dear All

I am thinking about what else is worth doing when it comes to my job search. What other jobs should I look for? I am looking at visitor experience/ public programs or an assistant job of some kind in a museum. I have been a lot of reaching out and hading out cards when I meet people at conferences and in general. I know it competitive and it can take awhile. Just asking for whatever I may not have thought of.

    Thanks,

    Rachel

Hi, Rachel - I'm responding privately; not sending to the entire forum, because I want to offer advice that you may find embarrassing, but its intent is to be helpful to you.  When communicating professionally, whether for a job search, or to a group of colleagues, always check for typos, usage and spelling.  This may seem unimportant to your generation, but not for mine.  If you are applying for jobs, those in a position to hire or make hiring decisions will notice these errors.  Before you hit send, re-read what you've written and correct your errors.  Best of luck to you.  Vivian

    Dear Vivian

Thanks, that is something I think out because I am not a good speller and know and do check and will use more than one way to look up a word or often have someone look at something I write before I send it.

    Thanks,

    Rachel
