- Friday, October 28, 2022 1:00-3:00pm EST
Join us for this webinar organized by CSAAM (Collections Stewardship Professional Network of the American Alliance of Museums) and OCEAN (the Open Copyright Education Advisory Network). Listen to subject-matter faculty discuss the practicalities and current situations you may encounter on the following topics:
- Fair use v licensing: Practical Considerations
- Rights Management for Complex Collections
- Using Film and Music: When to License and Why
Faculty will discuss copyright issues using hypotheticals to examine how to both solve and resolve rights issues, leaving lots of time for live questions and answers. Everyone is welcome to participate; we are looking to create a space to exchange ideas and learn from the experts and each other about best practices, current challenges, and solutions regarding rights and reproductions. The question and answer period will not be recorded to allow for open and frank conversations.
