Has anyone found a cohesive and effective way to search for jobs around teh country in museum studies departments? or in arts management or curatorial studies departments? or in university museums?

Using Higher Ed has come up with next to nothing-- and the field doesn't exist in their lists; perhpas it is folded under 'other humanities'?

Such positions regularly get posted to the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries (AAMG) website: Association of Academic Museums and Galleries

AAMG is a phenomenal resource and a great professional organization for those interested academic museums and galleries or in working for one.

Individual academic institutions would also list such positions on their own HR websites.

Which Higher Ed site are you looking at?   HERC does a pretty good job of aggregating and a quick search for museums seems to produce some nice results.
