If you attended the AAM Conference you may have heard of the display on the Expo floor of a Slave Auction? It created quite a response at the show. AAM in a letter afterwards said they were outraged. People were upset because it was out of context. The business didn't have bad intentions when displaying this. There was a discussion on the floor about it. One of the owners drove all night to help with the discussion. A special hashtag on Twitter was created. I was unable to attend the discussions as I was busy at my own booth. I'm wondering how people see this? Was it an outrage? Was it in context at a museum show? Does intent matter? What is an appropriate response? How do you feel about it?
