The Small Museum Administrators Committee (SMAC) has started a Facebook group! SMAC is AAM's professional network of small museum administrators, staff, volunteer and board. Our mission is to promote the significant role of small museums as educational centers, repositories of our national cultural heritage, and organizations committed to quality of life for their communities.
Through our Facebook group, we want to foster professional connections amongst small museum professionals, provide resources to our group members, elevate the diverse voices that represent small museums, and raise awareness about small museums. We welcome posts from group members that support our goals.
As we build up our group membership, we will leave the group open to the public for two weeks, and then make it private for confidentiality. We encourage group members to add additional small museum administrators to the group in order to boost our membership as well. Thank you all for supporting this network!
