For our next Feedback Fridays session on October 15 at 5pm EST, we will be hosting Cait McQuade for a second conversation around virtual exhibits. Last time we had an interesting discussion around what a virtual exhibit is. It was eye-opening to see how different everyone's ideas about them were, showing us just how difficult it is to define what a virtual exhibit is or isn't. This time, we'll discuss what makes a virtual exhibit a good one. Do high-quality virtual exhibits have anything in common with good physical exhibits? We'll assess 3 very different virtual exhibits using relevant parts of AAM's Standards for Museum Exhibitions and Indicators of Excellence and talk about whether or not this type of framework could help us create effective virtual exhibits.
