As part of the Council of Affiliates, one of the Museum Store Association's most valuable contribution is the opportunity to benchmark our museum stores' retail data, and offer nonprofit organizations metrics for comparison. If you've wondered how your store compares to other museum stores in terms of business metrics, you can now find out: MSA's Retail Industry Survey is collecting the financial, operational, and marketing practices of museum stores to compile into a useful report that you can use to compare your efforts to similar stores, or to help make your own store more successful. Please help us make this report exceptional by submitting your store's data.
The survey is open until Feb. 19th, and should be filled out by a retail manager, director, or organizational financial officer. It will take about 20-30 minutes to complete. Your participation will enable you to receive a free copy of the Executive Summary of the results, with the ability to own the full final report for more than 66% off the retail price. Survey participants (MSA members and non-members) will be able to purchase the full report for only $99 (compared to the member non-participant price of $300 and the non-member, non-participant price of $450). MSA vendor members may also pre-purchase the full report for $99.
All responses will remain confidential, and data will be reported in aggregate only. To protect the integrity of the data, MSA has contracted with an independent, non-affiliated third party to collect and analyze this data. If you have questions regarding this survey, please respond to this email.
