Dear Museum Professionals,
Join POLARIS: The Museum Mentor Network and connect with colleagues across the field. POLARIS is a new online nationwide platform for museum professionals working in or with museums. Create meaningful and collegial relationships and develop your leadership skills by being mentored or mentoring others. Participate in the annual mentoring cycle (April-November 2020) to work with a partner on a leadership or organizational challenge.
We kick-off with a National Launch webinar on Wednesday, April 22 from 10:00am-12:00pm PDT. From 10:00-11:00am, take a tour of the site and get an overview of the mentoring program. From 11:00am-12:00pm, guest speaker Prof. Becky Reichard from Claremont Graduate University will present a session titled, "Socially Close while Physically Distant: Mentoring in our New World" that explores the social and developmental benefits of virtual mentoring relationships. Register for the National Launch webinar here.
Joining POLARIS is free. POLARIS builds on MLI@CGU's expertise in museum leadership. This project is made possible in part by the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
Let's all stay connected, safe, and healthy.
See you online!
