Who: The Delta Protection Commission (DPC), is a California State agency which protects the health of the Sacramento - San Joaquin Delta by maintaining, enhancing and enriching the overall quality of its environment and economy, focussing on agriculture, heritage, recreation and natural resources.
What: The DPC is sponsoring the Delta Heritage Forum to preserve and tell Delta stories, and to highlight opportunities for partnerships, collaboration and networking. Invitees include cultural organizations, federal, state and local officials, business and civic leaders and those interested in Delta heritage. One of this year's panel discussions will address building museums and sharing heritage information virtually. We are seeking several presenters to join Emil Guillermo of the Filipino American National Historical Society Museum of Stockton in exploring how museums and cultural organizations are using videos, podcasts etc. to engage with their audiences.
When: The Forum is a free, virtual, half-day event to be held on Friday, November 6 from 10 - 3 pm (PST).
For further information about the event and/or how to participate as a presenter, please contact Forum coordinator Blake Roberts at
blake.roberts@delta.ca.gov.
Thanks for your consideration!
