    Hi All,
Hope you and your family are well and safe during COVID-19.

I am working with a couple of museums on their reopening plans.  I do not know of any database or forum of Coronavirus (COVID-19) Operating Procedures except the excellent AAM Preparing to Reopen Webpage.  Does anyone know of a forum thread for the latest Coronavirus (COVID-19) Museum Operating Procedures information ?

    Planning the following visitor process:
    1. Taking Payments: Visitors queue outside the museum building and are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing (at least 6 feet from other people). People assemble on floor mounted labels, families together and individuals distanced 6' apart. Most museum cannot afford online timed ticketing and will be required to accept credit cards and cash.  Museum staff to wear facemask, face shield and gloves and accept cash and credit cards.  Visitors will handle credit cards and pens, the credit cards and pens not passed to museum staff.
    2. Entrance Queue: Once visitors have paid, visitors queue for museum entrance.  Museum staff allow visitors into building.  Museum to be at 25% or less of capacity, floor staff with walkie talkies give updates on number of visitors in building and update staff at front door.
    3. Museum Entrance: Prior to entering museum building visitors will be required to wear a facemask, to use hand sanitizer at entrance and step on a rug with sanitizer.  Visitors will be encouraged to not touch anything in museum building.
    4. Main Social Distancing: Will inside the building museum staff will gently remind visitors of social distancing.

Are there any additions or changes to the description above ?

    1. How are museums handling daily / hourly museum cleaning, what cleaning products are you using ?
    2. Have you had your HVAC system cleaned ?  What was the cost ?

    Thank you !

Thanks for providing the link to the NY Times article about reopening. Does anyone have information on the Fever digital temperature sensor pictured in the article?

    Hi Jamie,
      As background,

The camera in the article is the Feever Camera and App $3,250

I would need to do more research as there are other less (and more expensive options).

We have a series of digital non-touch visitor temperature scanners available to museums as part of our Back to Work offering.
You can find more information on these here:  https://bluewatertech.com/return-to-work/temperature-scanning-technologies/

    Thank you.

    Hi Jamie,
I need to find out more information, but many facilities are using a rug / mat at the entrance sprayed with sanitizer to make sure that people are not tracking in pathogens on their shoes.

I have seen some facilities using a sanitizer UN Cleaning in Buildings

    CDC Cleaning and Disinfecting

List N: Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2 View List N's information in our new tool List N Web App tool All products on this list meet EPA's criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19

    Stay well,

P.S. I might suggest that museums create their own Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response web page similar to The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

It's not a written resource, but Dexibit in New Zealand has been doing video documenting of cultural sites that have reopened in Auckland. Of note, they seem to have much better data showing very few recent transmissions of Covid-19. But they do a great job featuring safety protocols and changes made to the experience.
