Victoria Edwards, Exhibition Designer, will present an exhibition she curated and designed called Queens: The Weight of Our Crown.

This exhibit builds empathetic connections among women of African Diaspora around the subject of hair and employed experiential learning to restore some of the lost identity within the African Diasporic communities by revealing the complex history of their beautifying culture. With this in mind, she hopes to develop a virtual experience for a future presentation with a mostly white audience and is interested in discussing what it should be and how to create meaningful connections with them around a subject that is very foreign to this audience.
