Hi all--
We're revisiting our protocol for how our frontline staff handle visitors making hostile comments to staff or other visitors, wearing offensive clothing (ex: slurs or curse words), etc. We're a midsize museum without dedicated security staff, so currently, our frontline staff and their supervisors carry primary responsibility in these situations (infrequent, but they do occur enough that we need a procedure).
Would anyone be willing to share any policies or procedures that you have at your institutions for our reference?
