I am writing to introduce myself as the new Volunteer Coordinator at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) in Columbus, OH scheduled to open on Saturday, October 27. We are all thrilled!
I am looking for training materials which would allow me to better train our new volunteers. We are concerned that some of our visitors will have an emotional reaction to some of our exhibition areas and want to provide "sensitivity" training to our volunteers so that they are prepared and able to help.
Would you be comfortable sharing any "sensitivity" training material that you use with your volunteers when dealing with what could be a very emotional visitor experience? This is my first post so I'm not sure how this forum works. But, I can be reached by email at:
