Museums that lease out operations to other nonprofits

    Hi all,
I'm not quite sure how to word this, but here goes.  I' wondering if any of you, or if you know others who do, lease out the operations of a museum property to another nonprofit?  I'm familiar with museums leasing out the operations of their store and/or their restaurant to private companies, but I'm specifically looking for examples where operations, such as programming and events, are leased out. An example that comes to mind might be a historical society owns a historic theater and leases out the maintenance and theater/performance operations to a local community nonprofit theater group.  Or a general museum also owns a historical house off-site, and leases out the maintenance work and the programming (tours, teas, etc.) to a local historic preservation group.

If this makes any sense, I'd love to hear from you.

    Thank you and happy holidays.

    Keni
