Hello All, Has anyone been using an all-digital talk-back wall that eliminates the manually writing and posting of notes? Something that would work with the visitor's personal device and is practical?

Pre-Covid, we wanted to have a wall of sticky notes for visitors to express their thoughts about certain exhibits but now that isn't very feasible. Would love to hear if anyone has successfully done the digital version using participants' own devices!

Maybe a Google Jamboard would work? We have been using them in virtual staff meetings to get feedback. Anyone with the google link to your jamboard could probably post a virtual sticky note.

    Hello Everyone,
We have been working with a company called Trivium, perhaps they have some solutions. I know that they have a gesture feature that allows you to create shapes on a screen.
We are still investigating as well.

Hi all! As a maker of all sorts of custom interactives, I just wanted to chime in and say the suggestions so far around using off-the-shelf equipment are great

I'd suggest playing with an existing collaboration tool, running on a cheap screen and computer + a printed QR code, to get something up-and-running quick! There are a lot of great web-based apps meant for meetings that could work.

    - We use Sli.do a lot to facilitate workshops in meetings. Interaction is exclusively through mobile devices, and you can play with everything from free response to polls. I believe there is some light moderation built in as well. My main suggestion would be to try this with a simple screen + computer + printed QR code to join.
    - You could also try running a Mural, another great workshopping tool. Interaction via personal device is through their mobile app, though, so it's a higher barrier of entry. Miro is similar - haven't personally tried the personal device interaction, though.
    - +1 to Google Jamboard suggestion, although the hardware can be a little pricey

It could make sense to make something more specific and tailored in the future (e.g. the twitter-driven version we made for Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016!), depending on what type of customization you need - or features you find yourself limited by in the platforms you choose.
