  • 1.  Managing Museum Workplace Conflict

    In the for-profit world, experts tell us as much as 42-percent of workplace time is spent trying to resolve conflicts, and their resolution can involve 20-percent of a leader's work week. To our knowledge, no one has studied whether the museum world's statistics are similar, but even if museums are half as conflict ridden, that's still eight hours a week of open disagreement, passive aggression or conflict avoidance.

Whether it's for-profit or not-for-profit, my article recommends Not Intervening as a management strategy. Let employees figure things out and resolve their issues without stepping in.
