  • 1.  Your favorite (low cost) cloud-based scheduling software?

    Posted 02-21-2020 03:50 PM
    Hey everybody,

My organization is currently in the search for a (low cost) cloud-based scheduling software and was curious as to what you all would recommend.  Our organization is large with multiple locations that have multiple spaces.

I appreciate any feedback on the subject.

    Thanks,
    Robert

I cannot say enough good things about Sling. We use it for about 100 part-time/contingent employees. The basic version is free and you can set up multiple locations, different positions, add contact information. It is has been a life-saver.

I appreciate the replies, but I noticed that much of the recommended software is for employee scheduling.  My organization is looking for something more focused on facility rentals (I probably should have been more clear about that on the original post).  We are currently using Fastbook, so something comparable to that would work.

Let me know what works for your organization in that regard.

    Thanks,
    Robert

Have you explored EMS software? https://www.emssoftware.com/

I'm not sure about your budget and what are the parameters of lo cost for you, but this is a great solution for the type of facility management you want.

    Hello Robert,

I too have been researching software with growth in mind. I found a venue booking system called Skedda that might be worth investigating? I have never used it personally so I cannot speak for the customer service or performance. But it looked promising. Good luck!

Hi, Robert!  My location currently uses EMS, but is looking at moving to Eventpro360.  Some of the reasons are cost, number of user licences, and ease of use.  There's a demo video at: https://youtu.be/nEdUMsCqPcQ.  I have not used it personally, but it does look easier than EMS.

Disregard: The House of the Seven Gables has had a great year using Deputy. It's an intuitive and easy-to-use system!

For event scheduling we work with Microsoft Outlook and SmartSheet (project management). I'm sure there is a more efficient system but this works for our historic site and booking multiple events between our buildings.
