Since 2016, the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) in Washington, D.C., has galvanized more than 1,500 cultural institutions from seven continents and over 50 countries with the award-winning #5WomenArtists social media campaign. Through #5WomenArtists during Women's History Month, NMWA aims to help the public answer-without hesitation-"Can you name five women artists?"

I want to invite your organization to participate in 2020 because we need your help to make this year of the campaign an even bigger success!

At the start of the decade, #5WomenArtists recognizes how women are using art to make change and drive awareness about globally relevant issues and topics. NMWA is asking museums, galleries and other cultural institutions to share art and information about artists who explore key social issues, including gender equity, immigration, LGBTQ rights, racial justice, climate change and more.

If you and your institution would like to participate in March 2020, please submit your information to this Google surveyWe'll keep you up-to-date on news and events related to the campaign. Feel free to reach out directly with any questions. Looking forward to collaborating with you this March!
