    Back in December there was a conversation on several social media sites about the challenges that small museums faced in dealing with accreditation and other standards. John Dietl has written an interesting response in his President's Column in the most recent History News that acknowledges the problem, suggesting that rather than being seen as punitive, standards can help museums prioritize their activities.
