Civic Engagement in Museums Session for Conference

    Hi all,

Our museum is currently facilitating a program for students from groups that have been historically excluded in science to support their civic engagement as it relates to the environment. Our team is interested in putting together a session for the Museums in Society track talking about civic engagement and education programming. Depending on how many people would be interested, we could pursue either a presentation, interactive panel, or brainstorming discussion to help others think about these types of programs. You can learn more about our particular program here: https://www.floridamuseum.ufl.edu/earth-systems/uf-tesi-environmental-leaders-fellowship/

We hope to have participants from a wide range of institution types so even if you're doing work related to civic engagement and education, we'd love to chat. Please feel free to reach out to me at megan.ennes@ufl.edu if you're interested in collaborating on this type of session.

    Thanks!
    Megan
