Anyone have a recommendation for highly robust holders and tethers for markers for a talk back wall in an exhibit?

I do not have a specific recommendation here, but I have recently found that there are some marine applications that might work well for us in museums - waterproof, idiot-proof, stands up to gale-force four-year-olds.  Maybe look for a tool tether for a boat or a fishing application? If you're using a strap or rope that is melt-able - like nylon - you might even be able to adhere the marker to a cord? I don't know, I work with collections, and we typically plead ignorance on adhesive, so my knowledge in this area is pretty limited.  Good Luck!

    Hi;  perhaps a "counter pen"?
    e.g., https://www.amazon.com/ORIGINAL-PEN-LEASH-COUNTER-PARACORD/dp/B00ZMCMXQU/ref=lp_490675011_1_16?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1564506632&sr=1-16
