Just wondering if anyone else will be attending the ICOM General Conference in Kyoto this fall? I know there's a some sort of ICOM social at MuseumExpo next week, but I won't be able to attend unfortunately--though that's a trade I happily made to get Kyoto in the budget!
I'm traveling alone, so hoping to connect with some folks over there as this will be my first ICOM General Conference. I wasn't sure if there were National Committee meetings there or not?
Has anyone ever been before? Any advice for what to expect? Looking at the program it's hard to tell if it's more informational sessions or more bureaucratic ones for their committees? Also hard to tell what the general dress code is, business casual I assume?
