    Posted 03-06-2019 12:56 PM

CLIR recently opened our 2019 call for proposals for our Digitizing Hidden Special Collections and Archives program, and there is one month remaining before the application deadline. We continue to seek ways to share this news with as broad an audience as possible.

Each application cycle, we host several webinars to assist individuals considering the development of a proposal. The recordings, slides, and transcripts of all three of our Applicant webinars are now available on our Applicant Resources page. This page also contains sample applications, toolkit videos and resources for common applicant challenges, and a number of other documents to assist in proposal development.

The Digitizing Hidden Collections program is open to eligible non-profit organizations, and collaborative projects are encouraged. Any qualifying US institution can apply and eligible Canadian organization are able to participate in collaborative projects as long as a US institution is the Project Lead. The deadline for the first round of proposals is April 3, 2019. More information on Eligibility and the program's timeline can be found on the Digitizing Hidden Collections landing page.

More information on the open call can be found in the full press release. It may also be worth noting that The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has also provided funding for a 2020 call for proposals for the Digitizing Hidden Collections program. Questions about the program may be directed to hiddencollections@clir.org. Feel free to share if you know of a project or institution who may qualify for the program.

    Sincerely,

    ~Joy
