    Hello all,

Thank you to those of you who participated in our survey about distance learning programs during COVID-19 this spring. I am attaching a brief overview of the results for those of you who are interested. Additionally, I wrote a post for AAM about how to help sustain new online programming based on my research and the results of this study: https://www.aam-us.org/2020/10/16/the-keys-to-sustainable-online-programming-partnerships-and-professional-development/

We are now conducting a follow up to the study to see how programs have changed in the 7 months since we last sent out the survey.

We are attempting to better understand how museums are developing and using distance learning to reach their visitors during this pandemic. For this study, a distance learning program is any program conducted via the internet with audiences at offsite locations.

If are developing new programs, we know your time is very valuable. This short survey will take about 5 minutes and you may choose not to answer any questions. We want to capture the great work museums are doing to support their visitors in this difficult time.

If you are interested in participating in the study, please click this link for more information. We are happy to offer a $10 gift card for the completion of the survey.

The survey can also be found here: https://ufl.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_brd7e8Mv2NRBUNL

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, the principle investigator, at mennes@floridamuseum.ufl.edu. I am the Assistant Curator of Museum in the Department of Natural History at the University of Florida. This survey has IRB approval under IRB Project #: IRB202000752.

    Thank you,

    Megan
