    Glazing, flat glass or acrylic fit in a frame or display case to protect works of art and historic artifacts, is available in a wide variety of options from very basic to containing multiple protective qualities. This webinar will review these various alternatives and their properties in order to make informed decisions when choosing the most appropriate glazing for each particular application. Topics to be discussed include:

     

    A brief review of the history of glazing in museums

    A review of different types of applications

    The differences between glass and acrylic

    The differences between non-glare and anti-reflective glazing and how they are made and work

    How lighting plays a significant role in the performance of anti-reflective properties

    A brief review of cleaning, including solutions and various cloths
