On Tuesday, April 6 at 11am EDT, the Qatar America Institute for Culture (QAIC) is hosting a webinar as part of its Museum Series titled "The Curation and Influence of Islamic Art in Museums Today," which will focus on the evolution of Islamic art collections in both Qatar and the US. This virtual event will feature curators from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met), the Smithsonian's Freer & Sackler Galleries, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. Moderated by QAIC's Board of Directors Chairperson Peggy Loar, this presentation and following discussion aim to spark dialogue about collecting histories, curatorial practices today, and the meaning of "Islamic art."

Registration is free and can be booked here.

We hope to see you at our event!
