Writer Roundtable with Dr. Kimberlee Kiehl on Strategy

  • 1.  Writer Roundtable with Dr. Kimberlee Kiehl on Strategy

Dr. Kimberlee Kiehl and I will be discussing her recent article on strategy for our next Writer Roundtable (Weave a Parachute our of everything Broken).

It's a free meetup, scheduled for Thursday, June 18th at 2pm eastern. It'll be a bit like a webinar, but Dr. Kiehl and I will be experimenting with more participatory approaches using Zoom breakout rooms and Mural to collaborate and share ideas.

Our goal is to help attendees learn from one another and explore how Dr. Kiehl's ideas about strategy might apply to their own organizations.

Dr. Kiehl most recently served as the Senior Vice President for Operations & Experience at COSI. Prior to that, she held the position of Director, Museum of Ohio Project at the Ohio History Connection. Dr. Kiehl served as Executive Director of the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center (SEEC) from 2012-2016, Chief Strategy and Operations Officer at COSI from 2000-2012, and was a tenured Associate Professor in the College of Human Ecology at The Ohio State University from 1990-2000.

You can register for the event here.

(Also, it's not too late to sign up for next Thursday's roundtable with Rosie Siemer. We'll be discussing Rosie's article, The Silver Lining of Forced Experimentation -  How museums can monetize new virtual offerings and grow membership. Register here.)
