I have been asked by friends at the Seal Cove Automobile Museum to spread around this article explaining some astounding trustee behavior in the past. I think you will agree that the situation is well beyond what you may have heard in similar cases.

Hi, Bruce - it is astounding, but sadly, not unique.  A thousand years ago, I was hired to work for a group in Ohio "restoring" an old 1930's movie/vaudeville theatre that had gotten deep into similar behavior.  For example (but not limited to) the non-profit purchased at an inflated price a contiguous property from a board member.  This after the owner ran it as a SRO facility mostly occupied by impoverished veterans and without correcting many code violations, including the red-tagging of individual room natural gas (piped in) heaters.

The owner then threw the occupants out without warning to get the building condemned and sell it to the organization... Sometimes there's a fine line over which even an ethicist would ponder, but some are so obvious as to astound!  So sad... Vivian
