We're in the process of creating a system for approvals/sharing information about external speaking engagements our staff participate in. If anyone has developed a policy on speaking on behalf of the museum, we would appreciate seeing it for comparitive purposes. In particular, we are interested in:
-distinguishing between personal speaking engagements on non-museum related topics and speaking "on behalf of" or as a representative of the museum
-policies on honoraria: may they be accepted, do they go to the museum, or is there a sharing arrangement allowing the speaker to keep some of any honorarium
