Hi Sean:
Have you been connected to anyone at San Diego's Museum of Man? This is exactly the work that they do and it sounds like they would be the perfect interview for your podcast. I'd be happy to connect you to someone there if you are not already in touch with them.
All my best,
Ally

Subject: Interview Request: Collections and Colonization
I'm in the midst of producing a podcast miniseries about collections at The Museum of Flight. We're using it to spotlight the "extremes" of our collection; our smallest, largest, oldest, and youngest artifacts, but it's also meant as a sort of Collections 101 for the public to get them thinking like a museum insider about the complexities that go into managing a collection.
I'm looking to record an with interview someone for use on the next episode about the issue that's broadly referred to as de-colonizing museums, but I'm specifically looking for someone who can speak to the aspect of how museums acquired artifacts and cultural objects in the past, how that affects the cultures from which those objects were acquired, and how museums are reconciling with this today. Ideally this would be with a person who has first-hand experience with this process.
If you are this person or have a referral, please let me know.
Thanks all,
Sean
