    Hello all,

Thank you to those of you who have previously participated in our survey of how museums have transitioned online due to COVID-19. We are excited to share that our results will be published open access by the International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning soon. I am happy to share the preprint with anyone who is interested before then. You can also check out our summary blogpost on AAM's website.

As it has been a year since we closed the initial survey, I am writing to invite you to participate in a short survey to help us better understand how museums pivoted their programming online. For this study, a distance learning program is any program conducted via the internet with audiences at offsite locations.

We know your time is very valuable. This short survey will take about 5 minutes and you may choose not to answer any questions. We want to capture the great work museums are doing to support their visitors in this difficult time.

If you are interested in participating in the study, please click this link for more information. We are happy to offer a $10 gift card for the completion of the survey.

The survey can also be found here: https://tinyurl.com/UFMuseumsOnline

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, the principle investigator, at megan.ennes@ufl.edu. I am the Assistant Curator of Museum in the Department of Natural History at the University of Florida. This survey has IRB approval under IRB Project #: IRB202000752.

    Thank you for your time.

    Megan

    Dear Megan,

Happy Morning !  Hope you are doing well !

I went through your writeup on "The Keys to sustainable online programming" .  This writeup gave good insights on the host of challenges that comes with online learning.   As you well pointed out, we can find common solutions only through collaboration, innovation and partnering with organizations who are already engaged in online programming.

We are a company, who are engaged in providing solutions for any education digital programs.  We just don't stop in digitizing the content, most importantly we make it complete accessible to meet 508 compliance and also help in curriculum designing for educational  institutions.  I have attached our profile deck, for your quick reference.

In your Museum Junction post, I could see a link International Review of Research in Open and Distributed, which leads to IRRODL site.  The files that you see there, are getting ready with 508 compliance & will be delivered by us in couple of weeks' time to Athabasca University Press, as AUP is our long-term customer (10+ years relationship).

Specific to museum, we digitize and make accessible formats (A11YePUB, A11YPDF, A11YHTML) of the publications/catalogues and distribute those to various e-commerce platforms and e-libraries through our Global distribution platforms to monetize.

We have delivered MET museum's 700+ ADA compliant monographs couple of years back and also currently engaged with Yale ART Gallery's digitization project in producing ADA compliant formats for the 4 decades of catalogues.

We started up with Yale Center of British Art's digitization and also worked out a solution to enable them for a free distribution as well monetize those publications through our Distribution platform.

Understanding the current staffing issues, time restrictions, cost & technological limitation factors, we help museums with an approach that will eliminate all of these & empower them to completely make the online learning program in ease.

We created an engaging, tailor-made physical science e-course aligned with the school district's curriculum for Henry County Schools (HCS) .   A tedious process that demanded clear understanding of the project by the instructional designer (ID) and subject matter expert (SME) to create two course packages – one for teaching and the other, learning – to accommodate version-specific interactive widgets.

This resulted in 500+ pages of LMS-ready SCORM course were delivered to all HCS schools with two distinct versions to cater to each group's – students and teachers – needs

I can discuss more on this & send some relevant materials if you find this info useful & interesting
