    ​Most states have abandoned property laws. You should check first with your state. In MA, any proprty (and the list is long) you have to file an annual report and submit property to state.


    Conduct a free multi-state search by going directly to MissingMoney, the NAUPA-sponsored search engine, or search state-by-state on individual unclaimed property programs by clicking the appropriate jurisdiction on the map or drop box below. You should search in every state where you have lived.

    We hold all items for 30 days. After that, low value items are sent to a non-profit consignment store for donation. High value items (anything over $100, any government issued ID) are sent to the local police department. After 30 days, any cash turned in is either donated back to the Aq or given back to whoever found it (staff/volunteers exclude). Credit cards are held 30 days then destroyed.
