Conveners sought for MSN Conversations (webinar discussions)

    Posted 05-21-2020 07:16 AM

    Hello!

    Building upon the success of our first two webinars which were focused around book-related topics, Museum Studies Network (MSN) are convening a series of online dialogues, called MSN Conversations, among our community that:

    • advance the research and development of museum practice;
    • engage museum studies faculty, students, and museum practitioners;
    • provide opportunities for robust collaboration between practitioners and academics;
    • offer an interdisciplinary lens--with relevance beyond museums themselves; and
    • embed equality, diversity, accessibility and inclusion in programming.

    Information about our previous two conversations, called "Shelfies" as they focused on books that may be on your bookshelf, may be found here: https://www.aam-us.org/event/msn-shelfie/ and https://www.aam-us.org/event/msn-shelfie-2/.

    We seek conveners--individuals or small teams--to facilitate hour-long conversations online. We do hope you will consider leading a discussion on a topic of relevance to our community. To express your interest and to see the full proposal guidelines, please contact Juilee Decker jdgsh@rit.edu of the MSN Communications Committee.

    Thank you,

    Juilee Decker and Janet Marstine

    Please note: proposals must be received at least 10 weeks prior to the proposed date of the event.
