For more than 25 years, the American Association for Museum Volunteers (AAMV) has been the largest professional organization devoted to supporting volunteer managers in the museum sector.

AAMV is seeking board members for election in Spring 2017. The AAMV is divided into six regions that coordinate and provide support to our members within each of that region's states. The Regional Directors serve on the Board as representatives of members from their respective region making sure every member's voice is heard. Terms last three years and allow board members opportunities for leadership in areas such as:

    -Developing and leading webinars

    -Contributing to the newsletter

-Engaging members in the region and across the nation

-Communicating with AAM on engaging volunteer mangers in best practices

    -Recruiting and developing the membership

Each region has up to two regional directors; AAMV is seeking one board member in each of the following regions:

New England Regional DirectorCT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT

Mid-West Regional Director IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, MO, OH, WI

Mountain Plains Director CO, KS, MT, NE, NM, ND, OK, SD, TX, WY

Mid-Atlantic Regional Director DE, DC, MD, NJ, NY, PA
