Help Guide the future of informal science education in science museums, zoos, and aquariums.

Research is showing that front line staff, like you, are making a huge impact educating youth and families about science. As you probably know, today’s youth are increasingly learning science in outside of school settings through experiences in spaces such as science museums, zoos, and aquariums. The educators in these informal spaces facilitate much of this learning. However, in spite of the valuable role that informal educators play, little is known about what characteristics make informal educators great and how organizations can better meet your needs.

Please consider taking this 5-8 minute survey to help direct the future of informal science education professional development. The results will be used to guide education leaders as they develop new programs for informal educators. Participants will be eligible to be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Amazon (or similar vendor) for completing the survey. If you took this survey last year, we encourage you to take it again as there are new questions to help us better serve you. If you are an education supervisor in a science museum, please share this with any paid education staff, over the age of 18. Thank you.
