    Hello everyone:

I sent a message a couple weeks ago asking for help identifying an object and the mystery was solved.  I was hoping someone might be able to help yet again.  I'm cataloging an object that has no obvious function to me and the description just states, "Unidentified object of unknown use."  Really, really helpful.  I attached a couple photos and thought I'd see what people could tell me before I started a deaccession proposal.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

    Geoff

There is a closed FB page called "WTF is it?" I am amazed what is posted and solved (often with photos from trade catalogs, etc).

Could it be a broken scabbard?

Would you put up another picture that shows the object from the side?  Also what is it made out of?
