I work with several small museums and arts organizations that are membership based.  Several are looking to automate their membership programs.  Who is using a program that they feel is affordable and are you satisfied with it?  Thank you very much for sharing.

We are also looking for the same feedback. We have done a little work in this area but may want a partner that has a strong membership management software that we could integrate to and offer as a membership widget for our app clients.

We are exploring Sales Force as a membership and donor management tool.   Though it's primarily used in the private sectore,  it's a versatile relational database system for contact management.   Sales Force has a foundation through which it offers non-profits a limited number of user licenses at no cost.   Might be worth looking into.

I suggest that you check out the resources from the Nonprofit Technology Network (nten.org). They have a good review of low-cost donor and member management programs. While SalesForce provides "free" site licenses to nonprofits, most organizations must make a (very) substantial investment to customize the program to meet their needs.
