I'll soon be seeking quotes for a motorized camera stand with mounting lift and boom arms and pan and tilt heads that allow for a camera to be placed (preferably via wired or wireless remote control). The base should be counterweighted to balance camera extension over artifacts. More reach is better as this allows work with larger original artifacts.
I think we have a turntable -- that's not what this is about -- it's the ability to get 360 degree mobility with minimal heavy lifting that our collections staff is seeking.
I'd love to better focus our forthcoming RFQ. Can anyone share any suggestions for good studio installation equipment along these lines?
