  • 1.  Deaccessioned weapons looking for a new home!

    Posted 21 days ago
We deaccessioned a collection of firearms and other weapons and accessories a few years ago and are still looking to transfer some to other non-profits. The list with photos is here. If you are interested in any of these items or have suggestions for places to contact, please let me know at lhancock@fieldmuseum.org.

While we don't have any budget to help with shipping, we'll do what we can to help with packing. Appropriate licenses, etc. may be needed for transport.

    Thanks,
    Lauren

I acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional homelands of the Three Fires Confederacy: Bodéwadmik (Potawatami), Anishinaabeg (Ojibwe), and Odawak (Odawa), and of the Hoocąk (Ho'Chunk/Winnebago), Inoka (Illini Confederacy), Kiash Matchitiwuk (Menominee), Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), Myaamiaki (Miami), Meshkwakîha (Meskwaki), Asâkîwaki (Sauk), Jiwere (Otoe), Nutachi (Missouria), and Baxoje (Iowas). I recognize and respect the many Native people who have called and continue to call Chicago home.
