    Hi All,

The Community of Aquarium, Museum, Zoo, and Informal Educators is hosting a free workshop on Burnout in Informal Education on September 22 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm ET.

    Description:

Working in informal education is a deeply rewarding career, but it can also be emotionally and physically demanding, leading to educator burnout. During this webinar we will explore the symptoms and causes of burnout as well as the unique challenges informal educators face. We’ll also discuss prevention and recovery strategies and how to build resilience as educators.

    Speaker:

Kayla Manuel (she/they) is a science and conservation educator living and working in Colorado. She currently serves as the School & Virtual Programs Coordinator at Butterfly Pavilion. She is passionate about invertebrate conservation, informal education, and inquiry-based learning. She is also an NAI Certified Interpretive Guide and is currently pursuing her Master's degree in conservation biology from Miami University.
