  • 1.  1960s Paper Dresses

    Hi,

    I have a client who is planning an exhibition on 1960s paper dresses. He wanted more opinions on getting the wrinkles out. He plans on hanging them on padded hangers and then lightly ironing them on a very low setting with fabric between. Has anyone had to care for/display these dresses? How would you remove the wrinkles?

    You might check with the staff at the Texas Forestry Museum in Lufkin, TX.  They have a 1960s paper dress on display and may have suggestions on how to care for and disply them.
