Hi Steve,
I'm the Museum Specialist at Lake Mead NRA who has also been looking into new dataloggers, I think Ed contacted you about this. I was looking into the HOBOware dataloggers, and our Regional Curator found documentation that suggests HOBOware dataloggers are pre-approved for use on NPS networks, but I'm not sure if that's true DOI-wide. Network compatibility is the main issue we've been having with our current dataloggers.
I liked this model:
https://www.onsetcomp.com/products/data-loggers/mx1104/. It measures temp, RH, and lux and the HOBOware software has automatic data storage and an alert function. Our currently non-functional T&D dataloggers also measure lux hours, but I haven't been able to find any others that also do that. I haven't found any dataloggers that also measure UV, either.
I hope this is helpful!
