I recommend looking at a Twin Cities company, TivoliToo. We visited them a few months ago and they are creating some interesting durable soft kids seating. They do a lot of work for entertainment venues and childrens hospitals, so understand the durability and safety concerns we face.

Sounds like you need to just contact a local upholstery shop. I've done that in the past in Amarillo and Albuquerque.

I'm searching for a contract fabricator to build a stuffed-vinyl play area for children. I have a clear design concept, and CAD design files for the fabricator to work from. The product will be a vinyl-covered soft play structure for kids that is designed to be like a bird's nest, about 6' around and sits in a corner. I'm also interested in having some matching stuffed vinyl seating made. If you, or a contractor you have used with success in the past, are interested in this project, please reach out to me.
I'd also love to see some examples of similar projects at other museums and children's learning centers!
Many thanks,
Skye
