Hi all,
As a current American student in this Master of Museum Education program at University of British Columbia, I've been asked to share the details through AAM in order to help the program gain visibility with potential American students. I would highly recommend it if you are a current museum educator interested in the pedagogy of informal learning environments and building higher quality public programming offerings. And the affordability truly cannot be beat. I'll be happy to answer any questions about my experience in the program, as I'm set to graduate in December 2020.
UBC's Master of Museum Education (MMEd) is a unique graduate degree program focusing on the study of education and learning that occurs in museums and other informal learning contexts (such as, art galleries, science centres, parks, historic sites, etc.). This program draws together Museum professionals, educators and those with an interest in using the community to support teaching and learning to further their thinking and scholarship around museums as sites of education and learning. The program is ideal for full-time, working museum professionals seeking graduate level qualification or wanting to improve their professional practice.
