    Hello all!

I am writing today to draw your attention to an opportunity for U.S. Curators. I hope you'll consider it and be willing to share about it as well.  It is an open application process for all curators, and one does not need to be member to apply.

The first project is our Engagement Program for International Curators – U.S. Art Edition is an exciting chance for a U.S. curator working with art of the United States.  US curators would be paired with an international curator also working with art of the United States, including but not limited to Native American or Indigenous, African American, and Latinx art, and Decorative Arts, whether historical or contemporary.

The other project is our Engagement Program for International Curators – U.S. and U.K. Curator Edition. This is an opportunity for a U.S. Curator in any field to be paired with a curator in the U.K. to build a relationship, exchange, and learn.

In both programs the pairings receive 2 years AAMC membership, a stipend for their engagement, professional development, and partnership with their counterparts, TWO in-person visits during the program, and complimentary registration, travel, and accommodation to attend the 2022 Art Curators Conference.

The deadline has been extended, with applications accepted until Wednesday, February 9 at 5:00PM ET. The application is not tedious, but we highly recommend applicants not wait until the last minute to start their application – a letter of support from a supervisor is required.

    EPIC U.S. Art Edition
The 2022 EPIC U.S. Art program will award two International Awardees and two U.S. Liaisons exploring art of the United States, including Native American and Indigenous art, whether historical art or contemporary art that manifests a critical and reflective engagement with U.S., Native American, and/or Indigenous histories, art, and art histories.

U.S. Liaison must live and work in the United States, including U.S. territories such as the American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands. They must be working with or working on a project focusing on art of the United States as outlined above. Curators without existing strong ties to international partners and the overall larger international curatorial network are the ideal candidate(s) for this program. Applications are encouraged and desired from those representative of diversity by self-identifiers, including race, ethnicity, and gender.

Apply to be a U.S. Liaison Today!

EPIC U.K. and U.S. Curator Edition

The 2022 EPIC U.K. Curators edition will award two U.K. Awardees and two U.S. Liaisons to amplify voices from across the U.K. including England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales within the AAMC Foundation and the wider U.S. museum sector and deepen international relationships through creating opportunities for genuine exchange and learning.
