    A corporate art collection is looking to donate two tiffany stained glass pieces currently in storage in Oakland, California, but are concerned about museum donations which are accepted and then sold for profit. Any suggestions on institutions who would be happy to rehome the items without looking to turn around and sell the works?

    The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum in Winter Park, Florida has a very large collection of Tiffany windows, glass pieces and even an entire room installation from his Long Island estate, Laurelton Hall.  I am not connected to the museum, but have enjoyed visiting many times.

    I would add to the comments about the Charles Hosmer collection.  I thought they did a beautiful job presenting their Tiffany collection.  They have included the glass chapel as well as the dining room and living room from his Long Island home.  We were very impressed when we visited there a number of years ago.

    The Queens museum has a Tiffany section... It was based in Queens.

    Piper,   Just a suggestion, but a wonderful place that we once did some work for is the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning New York.  They are a private, non-profit museum but have a history of being founded by the Corning Glass company.  It is one of the most amazing collections of glass in the country and the world.  I no longer have a contact there, but I am sure you could contact their curatorial or development offices and speak with them.  I am sure it would be a fine home for your pieces of Tiffany glass.
